You can even achieve the impossible if you believe you can. Lynea Lattanzio is one of them. Even when she thought it to be an impossible task, she achieved it. Lynea’s compassion made her turn her home into a sanctuary. She rescued and took care of around 5,000 dogs and 34,000 cats.

The Cat House on the Kings is an animal sanctuary that specifically rescues and rehabilitates stray cats in California. It’s like a paradise for these animals with 12 acres of land brimming with cats. Also, any cat lover would love to be here.

Lynea wanted to start afresh after her divorce in 1981. So she got into a new home in 1983 with consisted of 5 bedrooms and covered 6 acres of land.

Lynea wanted a purpose to live and the day she went to a shelter home with her dad, she finally found it. she brought home 15 kittens with her and then their number went up.

Lynea herself settled into a mobile house and gave all of her property to the cats. Lynea is now a surgical veterinary technician.

She receives a lot of donations and help from volunteers to run her non-profit sanctuary. With donation from Doreen Wallet, she was able to purchase the neighbouring land and the sanctuary spread over 12 acres.

Our mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.
